GT 500 Wins Targa Trophy

A 2011 Ford Shelby GT 500 set the fastest time at the Targa Trophy event last weekend, beating Lamborghini and Ferrari. Here is the story on Jalopnik:

The driver of the GT 500, Rob Krider, is the same guy who won season one of The Forum Wars in a 2008 Shelby GT, besting Vipers and GT-Rs (also on Jalopnik):

Yeah, but it's not like the other cars were GOING for fastest lap, they competed to win... Had this been a straight up race, I'd have been proud, but the Stang did the worst for what kind of race it was... It's great and all that it ran a fast lap, but it wasn't against other cars attempting to run THEIR fastest lap...
