You're going to want to do the first major bolt ons.
Here's what I whole heartly recommend, I have this setup, and can't be happier.
C&L Plenum. Easy to install.
C&L Inlet pipe w/ 85mm mass air to replace your stock plastic intake. This package comes also with a "heat shield" and a K&N filter. Insanely easy to install.
75mm Throttle body. Insanely easy to install.
4.10 Gears from Ford Racing Performance Products. I used Eichback's gear installation kit. This installation is pretty tedious, and should probably (95% of the time) be done by a professional.
A Chip reflasher. Something to raise the rev limiter if you're an auto trans, top speed raiser, the "fuel remapping", and the speedometer fix for the 4.10 gears. They do other things too, but I forget. Install is so hard. You better take notes here. You plug a cord into the driver side "leg space" on the right. Pretty insanely hard huh?????
As for the exhaust. I personally have SLP Loudmouths, and SLP's X pipe, not to mention, SLP's long tube headers aswell. There is a HUGE DIFFERENCE between KEEPING THE CATALYTIC CONVERTERS, and TAKING THEM OFF. HUGE. From "loud performance sound", to "window rattling ear achingly loud". SLP's 'mufflers' simply take the edge off of what no mufflers would be like, so with no cat converters, it's like running open headers with the extra loud edge taken off. Trust me, it is LOUD. And personally, I WOULDNT HAVE IT ANY OTHER WAY! I love it. I say definetly buy the X pipe, and put the catbacks on. Catback install is a pain in the ass if you don't have the tools. Just get any simple mechanic's shop to do it for you, probably about 100 bucks. X pipe is easier, however, and can be done with a 3/8s ratchet, 10 inch 3/8s extension (for the headers meet downpipe), and a good lot of sockets, in your garage (assuming you have a jack). Long tube headers are a bitch, plainly put. You've got to jack the engine up off it's mounts, take off a subframe, remove the starter, and a lot of other major pain in the ass stuff. Definitely have that done by a shop, unless you really want a long project, and you have the tools.

Timing adjustor, I havent installed mine yet, but I will soon.
