GT suspension question

I searched the forums for this, but couldn't seem to find any solid answer in another existing thread.

Has anybody tried installing Bullitt springs, while retaining the GT struts / shocks. I realize the outcome may be a harsher than normal ride, and faster than normal wear on the shocks / struts, but has anybody tried it?

If so, what was your experience with the ride quality?

it wouldn't be worth it, get a kit because they are engineered to work together, if you mix and match its not going to function like it should

It will ride pretty much just like stock, but sit a little lower.

My friend swapped over to bullitt front springs in his V6, he says it made a huge difference in handling.. But sixer stuff is a lot looser than the GT.


Bullitt springs are only about 1/2" shorter at most than GT springs, so your stock struts/shocks will be fine. As AdRock said, its gonna be pretty close to the same.

I have Steeda springs, 1 1/2" drop all around with stock shocks and struts. I though the ride was improved in the corners and a little rougher on large bumps. I don't think that little of a drop, aka bullit springs, will affect the stockers too much. JMHO. Then again it will give you a reason to save up for some billesteins (sp?)

Thanks for the input guys, I really appreciate it. I'll probably try it, and if I think it handles like poop, just change over to those billsteins.
