GT take off's

Ok y'all,
I have posted this on every board on the net( almost hehehe) and well I have got 6 of 1 , half a dozen of the other. So, how about GT take off's instead of mustang V-6 duals( like Pypes) or Y duals?What do y'all think?

GT takeoffs are fine, and the 2 1/4" diameter pipes (just like your stock exhaust) will maintain some backpressure, which is good for your low-end torque. You can always weld in some flows later if you choose to do so. You will need to have a midpipe fabricated from behind your stock cats (cheapest option), or get an aftermarket V6 midpipe to use them.

Don't bother with Y-pipe duals. They are only for looks and give little if any performance gains, and are relatively expensive to boot.

You can run 3" all the way and you wont loose low end TQ, it's dyno proven.

Mine lost some low end TQ going from a 2 1/4" diameter stock midpipe and catback to a 2 1/2", and it was dyno proven. Why run 3" diameter pipes? It costs considerably more for what gain? 2 1/2" diameter is more than enough, 2 1/4" diameter is enough.

Well, his car wasn't stock
He had ported heads, intake and a nice cam

I got 2.5" from the headers and back with no loss.
