Ok, so I got my car back and running after my GT40 intake swap. I also put on a 70mm throttle body and EGR spacer. The car was running poor and loopy after the install and sounded like it had a vacuum leak. I checked all the lines and everything was fine. Originally the car had an EGR valve on it but the vacuum line was never connected to it so i assumed it wasn't working. Now with the new setup i ran a vacuum line to the new EGR valve. So i'm playing around and i take the line off the EGR and put my finger over the hose and block it off......car idles perfect and vacuum leak sound is gone?? The car still feels kinda sluggish. Should i just leave the EGR disconnected? Or will that throw a code and make it run limp? Should i get a one of those EGR simultors? I have no smog setup on the car and the heads are blocked off where the smog system was. Any ideas? I knwo this topic gets thrown around alot but the deal with the vacuum leak and poor idle is weird.
Thanks!!
