Well I decided to paint and polish my upper intake, throttle body, and elbow. I was bored with the way the engine bay looked, and the car has been sitting so I figured with the month I had off of school I would work on it..

Sorry about the quality of the pics.. They were taken with my cell phone. I will try to get some better quality ones up.

The intake after using aircraft stripper to remove the silver paint.

I used the satin black 500 degree engine enamel...

This one is really blurry, but you get the idea. Im still not done polishing it but I used tripoli and white rouge compounds with my cordless drill. I sanded the paint off of the top of the intake and on the fins so it was polished with black in between the fins.

Now I need to work on the rest of the engine bay

Slick...I would bet your pics don't do it justice..
My GT40 is out being polished at the moment...I'm doing do the same thing on the tubes...I was gonna do Black to...Damnit !!! :D

Lookin' good ES Stangin! Once you get it on the car, if you don't have a digital, grab a cheapo camera and take some pics. Have Walgreen's or something put them on a disk, and post away! I love all the pic whore threads, they serve to give me more ideas...

Nah, go Rio red on yours. Your car is so nice as it is, the red would further compliment it! :nice:
