ok this really isnt a tech question so ill post it in talk.
im working on my GT40 swap and have gathered up all the stuff to do the H/C/I swap with cold air and throttlebody...finally gonna sink some money in the car. this weekend im blasting the intake to repaint and have already ported it to match my 75mm TB. the last step is a new plaque for the top of the intake. Im looking for the black plaque that reads 5.0L Cobra on it with the cobra logo. is there anywhere online i can purchase JUST the plaque? ive checked cjponyparts.com and am not sure where else to look

this is the plaque i am looking for

eBay

A quick search for "cobra intake plaque" turns up several. This one is the cheapest.

Be creative - all you need is a 1/8" thick piece of aluminum sheet, a Dremel tool with some cutter bits, and a drawing copied off the Internet somewhere. Paste the drawing into the Paint program and stretch or shrink it to fit your plate dimensions. Print it out, glue it to the aluminum plate and use it for a template to tell you where to use the Dremel. Use a sheet of plywood to practice on before you start to work on the aluminum sheet. If you have some artistic talent and patience, you can make a plate that will be the envy of all your 5.0 buddies.

True.. But the tubular covers are always in the $200-$300 range when I find them. Tough to spend that much money for a cover, especially when I would have to powdercoat it to match my intake.

Just as a finishing note, I got the plaque and it looks damn good, only problem being the cobra intakes have about a 1/4 longer plaque space so it doesn't fit immediately, I'll post a photo when I get it painted put together
