They say that the GT40 makes a little more power over the cast cobra manifold. The cobra has the advatange with the option of porting the upper.

The margin is too small to pay the premium price tag GT40 fetch imho.

First off it depends what GT40 you are talking about. If it is the GT40 tubular, like said above it supposed to flow a little bit better, it also does look a little bit nicer too. If it is the GT40 Explorer intake, it doesnt look that great but flows the same as the cobra and you could get one for cheaper.

I think the difference is not gonna be enough to matter

What I dislike about both is they sign off too early in the power band

I guess that should be said
IF
One is gonna go for more than an intake and bolt ons

Point taken, but that does not mean it could not make more with a better breathing and shaped intake.

Reading TMoss' research, the GT40 kept up and even outperformed the Edelbrock and TFS up to 6200rpm.

The Tubular does look better but either of the 3, explorer, cobra or tubular will get it done.

I personally like the original cobra intake. Only intake i would trade for is an VERY RARE "Roush" intake

I am not too "Hot" on GT 40 intake. Cobra intake looks better ):

So is it safe to say it would be better to get a GT40 intake over say a typhoon intake?
