I recently traded for some GT40P heads. My 94 is stock except for an off road H-pipe.
My question is for you guys that have added them. Can you feel a difference in the performance with them being your "only" mod?

If there ready to bolt on, yea sure. Headers for them are common questions here, so search. I spent to much on mine and after springs, locks, headers, valve job, etc, I kick myself for not spending a little more on aluminum.

You can feel them. I would suggest getting your stock lower intake ported at the very least.

You can see some performance gains from them.

There are plenty of threads on the "P" heads here, and some power gains people have gotten with them.

If it were me, though, and I was to tear down the engine to install the heads I would think about either doing a cam or an intake manifold(easier IMO) while I was in there.

If your going to install the GT40P heads your going to need to install the special P headers or you'll burn #7 spark plug wire.

Thanks for the replies. In JAN when I got it.I pulled the engine to fix oil leaks and replaced the timing chain.I am just having a hard time talking myself into fixing something that ain,t broke.

I,ll probably go ahead and do it.I am going to think about it a couple of days.

I finished the install yesterday.I also went with the trick flow stage one cam while I was at it.
You can really tell a difference when it hits 4k.Before it would kind of just stop pulling at 4k.Not anymore . Thanks for everyones advice.

Good to hear the install went well and you are satisfied with the results.

You now also have the "Horsepower Bug"

I am waiting on a set of GT40P heads right now. I already have a gt40 intake installed. I just ordered and received a set of BBK shorty headers #1525 - 199.99 from Summit. I was told these with work with 90* spark plug boots.

Very nice move throwing the TF stage 1 in there while you were at it. My buddy went 13.0 in the quarter with your setup and a TF intake.
