gt40p vs. gt40 heads

i know how to spot the difference in the heads but i was wondering if the "p"s need special headers. someone told me that they did but just clarifing the statement. i dont need to pass ne emission regulations so that way doesnt matter. any info and parts are needed.. thanks

Yes the "p"s need special headers or little tricks done to make certain headers work (dented tubes, 90* boots, removing the headers to change the plugs, etc). Just search "gt40p" by title only in the tech section and you will find a lot of info.

I believe Mac and BBK longtubes both clear the p's plugs.

yea my problem is that i allready have bbk shorties and i was offered a gt40p and decided to c what would work first. thanks for the info
