I noticed this about a week ago, cleaned off the oil, and noticed its back again.

The stock braided ground wire from the back of the intake to the firewall almost seems to be 'wicking' oil from somewhere back there. What could this be? I can't see because its too tight, but i couldnt find any major oil back there with my hand. There is enough oil on the ground wire that it almost drips off of it.... any help would be appreciated.

so what can i do about this? i spent over 1/2 and hour trying to see and feel where it might be coming from, and found nothing. do i have to just deal with it or else start taking of the intake until i find the source???? i haven't had any oil on the ground in over a year, so i'm thinking it only leaks when driving.... does that help with analysis?
if its either of the things you guys said, how can i tell? i can't seem to find any source, just where it ends up.

Do you have any mischievious roomates or family members that might just be pouring oil on your motor just to mess with your brain?

I would take both intakes off and redo the front and rear seals for the lower intake. I only used gasket sealer for my front and rear and tossed the gaskets.

As for just letting it go and dealing with it. That's not a true car guy saying that, it can't be. Just start taken it apart and put it back together the right way.

haha nobody dumping oil on the engine.
I know what you mean, i can't stand having anything wrong with my car. I just don't want to rip everything apart for a tiny leak, when i plan on doing an intake swap soon. I'm in the middle of midterms at school and dont have the time to get into into a project right now.

pcv or maybe a rear intake gasket leak?? I'd go spend the 10 bucks or w/e and pick up one of those little inspection mirrors, damn things come in handy sometimes and let you see alot w/ just that and a flashlight without pulling stuff apart.
