Could anyone take a guess at what it will cost to have a tailight panel replaced, rear seat pans and floor pans installed and rear fender wells installed. I have the parts allready so i'd be paying for labor on them. IM just trying to get an idea of what I will be paying for rust repair after I finish the mechanical stuff.

Thanks,
Jim

I do all my own body/sheetmetal work so guessing a price is rather hard but I would say tha is going to cost you at least $2K.

But You do your own work, And you Don't charge yourself for those unforseen little things.
You would have to admit that the amount of metal he wants replaced
is a good 1/4 of the car.
There is going to be some surprises pop up.

I have done enough of this work that unforseen things are already factored in when I start. I automatically assume the replacement panel will not fit properly since most available sheetmetal for these cars is pure crap and merely a "starting point" and will suffice but only with a lot of work and patience to make it right. I have already had to move body lines so I am aware of unforseen goblins rearing their ugly little heads. The back panel and floorpans he wants are actually pretty basic and easy but the wheelhouses are the ones that are going to be the real fun part of the job.

The rear fender wells are just rusted along the seam so looking in past the back tire I can inside the car were a weld use to be, its about a 6in by 2in strip of rust, im guessing it can be repaired without replacing the entire fender well? The rest of the fender well is in good shape since the undercoating held up well.

I've had simlar work done and the end cost was around $2500 including cost of parts when all was said and done. Full floors with front torquboxes was $1600. Rear wheel housings was $600. Taillight panel was $300. This was by a professional restoration shop who has a long history of high end restorations, but he did offer a nice "cash only discount" which probably saved me $500.
