Guy harassing me on Youtube about gearing... He's wrong.

Please take a look at my video and the responses he makes. He's calling me a liar about the gearing in my car and about the power it makes... He claims to have a 94 gt with a 2.73 gear. He claims he redlines at 30 mph in 1st ... 60 mph in 2nd and 90 mph in 3rd. No way in hell he has a 2.73. Whereas I know my car has a 2.73 gear. For one thing, they guy I bought the car from TOLD ME it has a 2.73 cus he used it as a commuter. Also, I know from driving the damn thing. I can stay in 1st gear forever etc etc... Anyway, it would be great if some of you could put him in his place for me.

Well, that street where I left it on the curb, there is next to zero foot traffic. It was also the middle of the day and nobody was around at all except me making speed racer videos. I also live out in the boonies where there's no stores and hardly any car traffic as well etc. Also, it was a tiny digital picture camera that happened to be able to take short videos. It's so small that I had a hard time seeing it on the curb when I was pulling up to pick it up. lol

Eh i dunno. Your MPH are slightly higher than it should be, but not too much.

Not to nitpick, but your Saleen clone had a lot of stuff wrong with it. Regular Fox Saleens never came with the fader side stripes. Those are Sn95 stripes. Also, the windshield banner and rear deck decals are incorrect for the year.

I bought the car exactly how it was with all of the mods done to it... Only thing I did was change the oil, new battery, alternator and a King Cobra clutch etc etc.. As far as appearance, I didn't do a darn thing. Previous owners did the decals etc. Ya I figured my mph might be off by +/- 5 mph, but I had a heck of a time getting people with 2.73 geared 5.0's to tell me what speed they were at in redline in each gear...

But figure I bought the car for only 2 grand. Pretty badass car for 2 g's imo.

He is wrong in his assumpitions. He DOES NOT have 2.73:1.

Just send him a link to this thread after while. Hopefully it will shed some light on his ignorance...

I have 2.73s and a 5 speed and I can go well over 30mph in first gear.

First off, that was taken incorrectly because I did not clarify.

I meant that someone being ignorant is not the same as someone being "stupid." I did not want to sound derogatory to whomever may read the thread.

Some like to interchange the words between ignorant and stupid.

Youtube is retarded. I never read the comments.

I love to watch vids on Jets doing afterburner take-offs or low speed passes. Every single vid has comments from people from other countries remarking how America sucks and stuff like that.
