so i just ordered a Torsen T2 31 spline differential. not bad at $300 from ebay, brand new. plus ive heard they are the best out there, especially for road racing. now i need axles. any strenth issues with FRPP 31 splines? im guessing axles arent like diffs, w/ pros and cons. axles just have to be strong, right?
also, question #2. what EXACTLY else will i need for the install. some kind of install kit i know, but what? axle bearings? shims? girdle gasket? links appreciated
thanks

but i dont wanna spend $269 if i can get the same or very similiar quality for $225 as far as axles. is moser's install kit THAT much better quality than FRPP?

make sure the frpp axles include race studs and anything else you will need. my moser quote was like 270 with race studs and everything.

everything means including install kit? i dont really know what the "install kit" is, so i'll continue to refer to it as an install kit.

I dont think FRPP are necessarily bad but Moser are awesome. My buddy had them in his old 97 Formula Firebird with 450whp and launched on slicks.

I am getting them for my GT no doubt about it. That and Moser is in Indiana so support the hoosiers.

Yea Mousers are very good. And really all you need Derek is a master install kit from Ford. That will include all bearings and shims....should be about $100.

People on Corral say Moser is a step up from stock. Go with Strange.

I think FRPP is made by strange or Superior. Superiors come with a 5 year warranty too (Summitt), if that makes a difference for you.

Ive heard good and bad things about every brand. With axles its kind of a crap shoot. I was looking at Mosers, FRPPs, Strange and Superiors, but Im poor so it doesnt matter. Id say Mark Williams axles but you're on a budget, so they wont be an option.
