MPG?? Why the heck is that even discussed here? We drive Mustangs.. poor gas mileage is an inherent thing with driving V8's. Big... friggen... deal.

i only questioned it because some of the things in the owners manual seem to be questionable

Where would we be if we didn't question the questionable?

like how many qts. of oil.

Why is the number of quarts of oil being questioned? For an 02-04, it's 6 quarts.

i was just makin sure because my mileage seemed way off. i didnt think about the fact that i should subtrack 2 gallons.

Why are you subtracting 2 gallons??? Did you read my post? Or Jims?
Here is mine again on how to calculate MPG. You've got a trip odometer...use it!
TwoGTs4Us said:
Do this, fill the tank, reset the odometer, then when you refill it next time, divide the miles on the odometer by the number of gallons it took to fill the tank. (Then, reset the odometer and do it all over again.)

Why are you wasting your money on premium?

Well just for general knowledge, the 99 thru 01 took 5 quarts, while the 02 thru 04 took 6.

I love when smart people play dumb...
You must have seen the Diablo Predator in his sig, right?
Mrs. TwoGTs4Us and I are 'wasting' our money on premium as well - because the tunes in our cars require it.
Is there something else you are trying to get are here Jim?

I didn't see anything in his sig that would justify a 93 octane tune. Might as well keep the stock 87 octane tune and forgo the added 5 rwhp.

I averaged 19.7 MPG during the Woodward Dream Cruise which is ALL traffic and spirited driving. My normal mileage is about 20-22 MPG mixed driving. I get about 24 highway. My car seems pretty efficient with check engine light (I need MIL elims) on and all. I guess the K&N might be helping.

and that is mixed driving, with only about 5 mile a day being on the highway. No I don't drive like a grandma. I got 335 mile on a tank and that is with "5" 1/4 mile runs at the track.
