Guys with Mark 8 fan

taking a page from what Yount has posted, i might just contact Mr Baskin and ask him. i would surmise he is VERY familiar with the wiring - that way you are sure to get it right. those controllers are too nice an investment to take a chance on.

good luck.

The blue wire isn't used but is connected to the positive power wire inside the fan.

I missed your e-mail regarding the LED. If you want to just use a single color LED, run a 1K ohm resistor from the blue wire to the anode side of the LED, and then ground the cathode side. If you are going to use a multi-color LED, I'll need the p/n of the part that you're going to use since the internal connections vary from one LED to another. There's also an indicator available on the site's components page.

"Only prob is that Baskin takes forever to respond. " I didn't realize how short "forever" actually is.

nito - your comment above reminds me of the story of the guy who lost his car keys one night. Under a street light, he's looking furiously for them on the ground. A guy comes along and offers help. After being unsuccessful the good samaritan asks "Are you sure you lost them here?" No-keys responds - "Oh no, I lost them about 100 yards down the street." The samaritan says "Then why are you searching for them here?" No-keys replies "Because it's dark down there; I can see better under the street light."
