Picture quality kinda bad due to slideshow site

Timing chain was made wrong due to the fact that trickflow sources them out (i guess thats the right terminology) They said it was a common problem and they would come to our door (ups) and pick it up (along with my one valve cover that was warped) and send us brand new stuff all for free... thats awesome customer service. Our measure meants kept coming up 8* advanced/retarded instead of 4, and our 0 was a few degrees off (thats not why we sent it back thats not HUGE problem, like 1 or 2*)

Im thinking the hood blanket is gonna have to go... lol

Anyways Any questions just ask

David

Well thats a new twist on posting pics. lol

Look nice, I bet you cant wait till its done huh?

the only thing I dont really care for is the taillights, but to each his own.

Tail lights wernt my choice, they came on the car when it was bought :( lol

i kinda wish i could find a junk yard set, but doesnt the "plate" that goes around them (and inbetween the sections of the light) need to be painted? The car does not have the stock paint job

wouldnt have been my first choice for color either....

But it was kept up real good (we found that out when we started taking i apart)

it had 3.73 gears
flowmaster muffler (not sure but i think its the 40 series or something...)
pro 5.0 shifter
that cold air intake thing (thats not gonna be reused)
and the rims

for $4800

so sometimes i guess you go with what you can get, and i dont complain lol

And yes i cant wait till its done :rlaugh:

:SNSign:

Whoops, the 96-98 is the one with that black lines in the middle, this is ours

Lights

$299 though? Id hope i could find a junk yard pair....lol

a friend of mine got some off of ebay for around 59 I think. Even if you can't find the ones to match your color car, you can paint them black, like the saleen ones.

build is looking good:nice:

UPDATE

A little bit of bad news.... (just to let you know there WAS another owner of this car incase you were wondering...)

workinprogress012ot6.webp

Very nasty leak ( i knew there was a leak but we thought it was the rear main, keep looking at pics)

workinprogress011sd1.webp

workinprogress010fj1.webp

The flywheel...

workinprogress009yg1.webp

And the crack in it... so now i have to use a new one

workinprogress013ow3.webp

workinprogress014eu1.webp

And part of where the leak is at (the oil pan gasket is a little messed up there)

Theres also tranny fluid leaking from the input shaft... so we have to replace that seal also.... hope thats all we find

The rear main which we originally thought was going to be the problem isnt... the crank snout is completly dry from oil.....

Do you think it would be worth it to replace the rear main while we have everything ripped apart? I've read some stories about troubles when trying to get the rear main in..

thanks,
david
