I had a off road mac h-pipe put on last week. After the car sits for some time I start it up and I get a couple of drops out of one of the connections towards the back. The cars sounds good But there is a little hiss sometimes. some say it is the stainless steel sound from the remaining exhaust or the air moving through the pipes. I think if condesation is leaking then I would think exhaust gas is also leaking out too. I need some suggestions. I have had all the bolts retorqued. what should I do?

i put a mac off road h on my car and i had a leak for a little bit. i see u have flowmasters, you might just be hearing the air going thru the mufflers, thats normal for flows. anyways one way to tell if you have an exhaust leak is to put 2 balled up towels or t-shirts up to the exhaust tips, youll be able to hear a leak. if you have condensation leaking, take the car to a muffler shop, have them move the flange on the driver side about a quarter of an inch back, and have them weld the flange to the pipe, that way when it bolts up, its sealing up better. did u put a new stock gasket in on the driver side or did u use the one mac gave u? if u didnt get a gasket from a dealer then thats probably the reason u have a leak. try either of those out and let us know what u come up with.

the drip is not up front is is towards the back. I used the stock gasket. I only have 3500 miles on the car. The thing only drips when I first start it up. Its probably condesation. I just wonder if water is getting out if exhaust gas is too?

ok so ur saying the leak is coming from where the h-pipe meets with the flowtubes out back before the mufflers?

when you had the h welded, the pipe may have not been correctly aligned for the back to bolt up correctly, can u visualize what im saying? like it may have needed to be slipped in a little more so that it bolts up nice, did u watch them do it?
