What is the difference between in performance of and H-Pipe and an X-Pipe? Which one sounds better, and gives better performance? I have heard 50/50? I have a 2002 Mustang GT. I plan on putting on Longtube Headers so I know I will need Short whichever I get.

No performance difference.

H = low old school deep rumble
X = higher-pitched "exotic" screach

If you have....

chambered mufflers = H
straight-through mufflers = X

I have listened to some videos and think they sound great with a catted x or h pipe. I'm actually going to be getting the 44s myself after running the magnapacks for three years.

Nice, yeah I am planning on doing Longtube Headers with Short x pipe with Cats and then the Super 44's. It should sound pretty mean. I listened to your car and man it sounds really good.

I have to disagree on the sound opinion, I had and x with mac mufflers and sound sounded great, I never had someone tell me my car sounded like crap. Nothing but thumbs up. Now I have headers I've had to change to a o/r muffler, I just didn't like the sound of headers, x-pipe, and macs, so I did something different. Sounds good as hell now but its all in preference

My buddy has a UPR X with a mac catback and I love the way it sounds, I got an H pipe though with a mac catback.

I have heard X pipes with flows and they were really raspy sounding.

I was planning on getting an X in a week or so to go with my mac mufflers. Never heard anything before this saying I shouldn't.

I will have to get a video clip of my stang and my buddies stang. We both have mac catback, but I have an o/r H, and he has an o/r X. I think my friends sounds really good, defiantly does not sound like crap.
