Can someone explain how to change the PIP sensor in the distributor? Is this difficult?

Thanks!

If you know how to get the distributor out its not that difficult, you'll also have to get the distributor gear off the distributor. The sensor just sits inside the distributor, you unbolt it and take it out. I bought mine for $29. Did yours go out? I think its a common problem for our cars.

mine didn't start a lot of times, it was killing my starter. pissed me off because sometimes it would work, sometimes it wouldn't. pissed me off even more when i replaced half of the electronics and it was something that cost me 30 bucks.

definatly need a press for it. you'll want a timing gun to adjust your timing afterwards also.

Actually it is for my friend's car. Mine went out before, i would be driving and the rpm would drop for a split second and then go back to normal....changed most of my electronics before i figured it out and put in a new distributor....my friend's car is doing the same thing but doesn't have the money for a new distributor so we wanted to see if we could do it ourselves....
