I only had about 10 kids come by my new house that night. I was actually surprised since this is the nice part of town. I have tons of candy left over...

Perhaps they've heard about your Closet door, and what lurks behind it?

So are you saying that Oboe is stocking up on kids?

AZ is pretty tough, they have to navigate around the rattlesnakes, scorpions and the sand storm.

Nah that's just down here in the southwestern part of the state. Up in Oboe's neighborhood, they have pavement and sidewalks and freeways and indoor plumbing and.... and.... (Pardon me, I have to hurl )

Phew! Glad that's over with! As I was saying; the Metro Phoenix area is so civilized that thinking about it..... OH NO! NOT AGAIN!

Sorry, I think I'd better just quit now

It is civilized! My sister lives in Chandler, and it's development after development!

It's very much like the San Francisco bay area down in Phoenix, you can start at one end of the valley and go to the other without ever hitting an open space. It's all one big city with imaginary boundries.

The scary thing is sleeping out in the living room and having to check your shoes in the morning for scorpions.

Well, put yourself in the scorpion's shoe (hmmmm.....guess you were!) for a minute! How would you like it if you were sound asleep and some tremendomonguous giant stuffed his big ol' smelly foot in your face! I'd get a bit prickly too!

65mistress: Jeeze, what's up with that? Down here, we train the dogs and cats to eat the scorpions! Have the Phoenicians forgotten how to train their domestic animals?????

Cheapie: Chandler???? Gadzooks, man; my brother (the one who once sold new '67-68 Stangs for a living) lives at Dobson/Elliott. And yeah, the SASS Cowboy action shoots aside; he's pretty much become a "city-dweller".

You're kidding right? You know why they call them cats right?
My dog, born and raised in Southern Oregon, wasn't allowed in the house where all the scorpions were found.

Well now, if you walk around barefoot, you won't have to worry 'bout scorpions in your shoes, will you?

What's the big deal about scorpions? They're no big deal - mosquitos are more of a PITA than nost scorpions!

Now rattlesnakes can be troublesome. A big ol' Momma Diamondback with a belly full of baby slitherin' critters can be purely irritating!
