Halo 2???

just curious, but anyone bought/played Halo 2, and beaten it yet? I did earlier today, and man was I dissappointed! I'm not sure if it was just my game that did that, but I was in the middle of a level, went to a cut scene, and then credits! i mean, WTF?

yeah, XBox Live has been blocking modded xboxes for a bit now... at least on my friends one...

-oh, btw... beat the game on legendary today, no special ending either! i mean, WTF!

-well, actually, I could be mistaken now... it was set to legendary, but it only says heroic I guess I'll beat it again, and see... it was just the "don't make a promise to a girl, if you know you can't keep it" thing... kinda sad, them two parting

oh yeah, what's up w/ the no spectacular ending? the first one had that insanely hard drive w/ all then enemies killing you, this one just has you playing a normal level!??

I finished it Wed night. I am not sure why people hae the end so much, when you look at it it realy does not end much different than tht last other than it is more clearcut that there will be a sequel...

From what I heard you have to complete the ENTIRE game on legendary to unlock or get any special ending. I have to call on anyone that claims to do that in less than a few weeks of play (not aimed at you viperos).. It took over 300rounds from a dual wielded SMGs to down ONE elite when I tried.. Meanwhile one shot from him kills you... Supposedly finishing legendary unlocks the new level "foundation" fir MP.

The banning from what has been found is based on EEPROM and HDD data they have been collecting for months.. They are just now enforcing it to try and protect the H2 flagship from hacking as it does look to make a HUGE boost in LIVE subscription and will be the flagship game for live for many months if not years.. If they see you with a HDD serial other than what you originally signed onto live with they ban you. They may very well also be checking drive contents for non-MS items like other dash's or larger HDD capacity..

2.4million games sold in 24hrs... That is really impressive when you think about it...

I want to know when someone is going to have a LAN party for Halo2. We almost did last weekend, but a bunch of people flaked.. Whats more important that opening weekend of H2!?!?!?

na man, no offense taken... I only beat the last level on Legendary (that's all was required from Halo 1 ) and, oh yeah, I remember vaugly hearing something about that level... supposedly some insane code to unlock it too, but I'll take the honest way, and beat the game myself

-oh, and Halo 1 took me a solid month to beat entirely on Legendary (beat on Heroic w/i the first week though) Legendary is freaking INSANE!! (on both games!) the final guy alone took 4 brute pistols, 12rnd shotgun, and the sniper guy helping to kill him! (and that was IF I could kill the other brutes before they killed me w/ their little back-hand attack!)

-so, I'd be up for a LAN on Saturday, later in the evening, after 6:30 when I finish up w/ work... let's try to get some interest going... it's only Monday, so lots of time still (btw, if I need to, I can bring my HDTV enhancer, and a controller. not the box itself though, brother is back from Cali, so he still wants to play)

Shiot, asteroids isn't fully old school... I remember when PONG 1st came out and a nieghbor had it..

man, you guys are ruining it for me!! I got to the part with the stupid peices of **** hive mother****ers. ****ing **** I hate those ****ing pieces of ****. mother****! anyways I'm on heroic and I feel I'm getting close to the end of it. so far, I'm kinda bummed. oh yeah those mosquito's suck ass too. I dunno, there's something about it, like the levels arent epic like the snow level in th efirst one.

yeah, that snow was really cool but, if you are still playing as the master chief, you have a few levels to go still...

-oh, and YEAH, those flying shi'ites suck! (no offense, not the racial slur )

-gotta love the sword though... if there's an enemy above, just jump, strike, and you'll fly upward toward it

A couple of friends and I did the day it came out. 8 TV's and 8 Xbox's, including 2 50" projections. A friend brought over his LCD projection. It weighed less the a 36" that some one brought over. Here is a link to the picks.

well... I'm stuck now! I can't beat the fricking city level on Legendary... the one w/ the big brute guys (the spikey ones) I even got the skull of invisibility and that didn't help at all either! I wack them on their skin in the back, they just turn and wack me to oblivion!

The Spikey guys are call Hunter's The only way in Halo 2 to kill them is gunshots to the red part on thier lower back. battle riffle and sniper rifle work well, or the covenant carbine and beam rifle... Melle and sword do not work on them like in Halo 1... Grenade behind them o on the back work well too, but not as easy to manage..

The big furry Ape like things are the brutes and good old "lot O' Lead" works best on them...
