anyone have any ideas what is causing my hanging idle. after i rev it it comes down to 2k for a few seconds, then drops to about 1300..... the drops right down to 900 and idles smooth even with my TFS stage 1. any ideas?

Try unplugging the IAC, and see if it drops. Could be a sticky IAC, but usually they stick closed.
You may need to clean the "Salt & Pepper shaker" connectors.

Mine would hang like you describe, and then, when it wanted to, drop to idle. I cleaned these connectors and it went away.

I'd consider a vac leak as well.

The first post has all the fixes, and steps through the how to find and fix you idle problems without spending a lot of time and money. I continue to update it as more people post fixes or ask questions. You can post questions to that sticky and have your name and idle problem recognized. The guys with original problems and fixes get their posts added to the main fix!
