What happened to the Notch? Nothing really...

He traded it to me for my '86 GT vert awhile back then traded that for his '84 LX. I just traded the Notch back to him for Stinky. So now he has an '84 LX 5.0 Hatch and an '89 5.0 Notch.

My son will end up with Stinky and I'll be down to my '04 V6 and my '80 Capri. Then (hopefully) my son in law will still buy my '04 so I can buy myself another Notch.

As much as I love it, The Notch just belongs with him. It never sat right with me.

I was waiting for his Birthday to make the offer.

Yeah, probably gonna DD Teh Notch again, since I don't want to rack up a bunch of miles on the Black Pearl, and because a 5-speed Fox makes a more reliable and fuel-efficient DD than an AOD Fox. However, I think at some point I'm gonna have to swap the whole rear end outta the Notch into the Black Pearl because I'd rather have a taller gear for my DD (at least 3.73's, although I may get silly and throw a stock 2.73 rear in there for some mad gas mileage) and the Pearl has that crappy 7.5" rear that needs to go away before it gets destroyed later on ... and the 4.10's from the Notch would really wake it up, to boot. Also, I need to look into throwing a new rack n' pinion and clutch cable on the Notch before I can DD it.

I see beer and pizza in my very near future...

...and they made me an awesome cake. (Kinda hard to see the little skeleton dude and stuffs on there in the pic.) The gate even swings open and closed - I almost felt bad for taking it apart to eat it.
