I'm not gonna mention which direction my mind headed while watching her climb out of the shower as I was typing this..... Maybe I can talk her into us playing hooky from work today

Happy 29!

Mrs STDrmn,

YOU play hookey and go to a spa! Send that old codger out to work!

Happy 29! Enjoy!

Dan

(ps - when he tried to get in the shower with you, did you crack him with a rat-tail wet towel?)

Happy B-Day! I can only hope that you managed to make him cook or at least take you out on your special day. If you cant play hookey on your birthday when can you?

Well, she hadn't looked at this page yet, so I just read them all to her while she was dressing after her shower. And she says "Thank you all for your wishes."

Andy - you must have been reading my mind on the "cooking dinner" plan! I made an a$$ of myself at work 'til the Boss agreed that yesterday was not gonna be another 11-12 hour day for me. I caught H-E-double hockey-sticks for showing up late to my own birthday dinner last month because I was working late. Wasn't gonna let that happen on her Birthday! I even dropped the a line about "Getting my Life back; even if it requires a new job." and the Boss (who has never married) finally relented. I'll probably pay for it today.

Once I got home, I slow-roasted a corned beef brisket on the barbie (family favorite); did up a "California Mix" of broccoli, cauliflower, zucchini and carrots with some red pepper garnish and cracked peppercorns and some (pre-made Pepperidge Farms) garlic bread. 'Twas good, from all reports; so I guess I pulled it off.

Well Nag Dabbit! My apologies for missing this thread Mrs. StDr!
And ditto to Dan's Happy 29th, you don't look a day over 28, and what the heck are you doing with that ol' broke down codger?
