Hard Starts!!!

Its hard to start the car. it cranks and cranks and cranks and cranks and boom it starts, how do i fix that, the inside of my dizzy got wet and it looks kinda rusted in there.

Has it always been like this since you did all the mods? I would have guessed you might have too much cranking-fuel with those big squirters...................

change out the fuel pump. You can check the pressure before changing it out. But I bet its the pump.

sounds like your pickup coil inside the distributor is going out hard start like you described is the number one symtom of it going out I would replace it

i have a new fuel pump. it could be what yo said fordtech, as it got all dirty and wet cuz the sprinklers we every day for 2 weeks

next time it dosent wanna start put the pedal to the floor and hold it there untill it starts then immeditally let off. try that and see if it makes a difference

It sounds like you have too much cranking fuel (kinda what I suggested in the first post). 30's are a lot of injector while starting.....

it use turn on right before it messed up!!!!

mine starts fine on cold starts, but hot starts you have to open the throttle body a little. i have 30's too

SInce it used to start ok, I guess cleaning the inside of the dizzy is worthwhile (you mentioned it specifically). SOmething appears to be keeping you from catching immediately, and you're loading the plugs in the meantime.

Flooding. WHen you floor the gas pedal while cranking, you shut off the injectors. This helps clear flood conditions.
