Hello I’ve been having a problem with my 2001 mustang GT. When it’s cold outside it’s really hard to shift into first gear but when the car is warmed up and I have been driving it for a while the problem goes away.
Sounds like it might be low fluid or similar because the gear is not being spun up to speed by the blocking ring. Add some fluid to see if it helps. Same issue on my car that leaks out of the output seal.
