I'm new here but there is a lot of helpful folks so I'd thought I'd give it a try with a problem I'm having. I have a 2003 GT and its a little tough to drive. I have a 4 speed pickup so I am able to drive a manual like my GT has. It seems that I need to ride the clutch quite a bit to take off. Then, if the rpms aren't exactly right, it likes to jerk until you have to clutch it again to stop the jerking and try again. I hope it's just driver error but I'm thinking somethings wrong. I don't know the specs on the clutch but the rest of the car is a bit modified so who knows if there is something about it. Tough to explain as a good friend who also dailies a manual Subaru, has a lot of problems driving it too. Thanks a lot...

Sounds like starting off one gear too high.
Does it ever pop out of gear in low gears/oppositeGears? 1/3,2/4? If so check to make sure if it has a short throw shifter that the bolts are adjusted correctly to allow you to get all the way into gear.
