I've always just used the bolt to pull it back into place.

You sure theres not part of the bolt broken off down there still?

shouldn't be a issue.
My broncos balancer would slide right on also when I replaced it.
Just make sure the bolts tight and check it again in a day or so.

thanks, put it on tightened it up put it back together and omg the car is completly different, my previous new balancer must have been a pos from the start, and all this time i thought it was the mounts.

oh well i learned

It should be a interference fit, usually .001-.002.

I did just take apart a stock 93 50 motor and I slid the factory balancer off with my hands, although it appeared it egged out the key slot on the balancer and was rocking back and forth a little.

Check your key way
