harmonic balancer

im putting a motor together and have a 50?oz innovators west balancer laying around, can i just throw that on or is there more to it...do i need a new flywheel? thanx

idk what you want to know so i will tell you abou the motor, fresh 306, stock crank, t-5, idk what else u need to know.

It's like telling us you're 6' tall and asking us what size shoe you should wear. We can guess but there's no way to know for sure.

You probably will use a 50 oz imbalance balancer and fly, but the only way to know is to ask your engine builder what imbalance he built the motor to.

so if it was built witha stock balancer then i cant use anything but a stock balancer? so if i bolt on a 50oz balancer and flywheel then im gonna have problems?

i could be wrong, but from what i've gathered it depends on what style crank you have. stock crank = 50 oz imbalanced. just make sure the flywheel has a 50 oz imbalanced weight on it as well.

We don't even know what year car the motor came out of or to what specs it was built.

92 block and specs idk...i didnt build it i bought it off someone who had it built
