I've been looking into this as well. I would like to use the stock amp. Here's what I have found:

http://www.metraonline.com

It says "Metra 70-5511 AMP. INTEGRATOR PLUG" even though all the ebay ads for it say 1999-2000. The directions sure look like our plugs. Anyone confirm this is the correct one?

oh snap, i said screw the connector and went to "do it yourself" solder since i'm an electric engineer... and guess what happened, while disconnecting the wires to the old connector the +12 and GRND snapped together bang short circuit and no more +12 V and dash clock went down aswell.
Checked all the fuse in the fusebox and they all look allright, the ignition +12V still works, only the "constant" +12....
where should i start looking ?

Where the smoke was?

Did you check the fuses under the hood?

My antenna wire is pretty big. It looks kinda like a cable for a TV. You dont have to mess with it. It plugs directy into the radio.

Got it, it was pretty well hidden. I tough it was just a small wire but not it's a coax.

Anyway - I did install my headunit w\o any harness adapter. I did it the hard way, cutting all wires, soldering & taping then. Pretty happy, I can finally listen to MP3 CDs in my stang, w00t.

Thanks everyone.
