whell, my pump is clicking, it sounds like a rod knock , or detetanon at idle, but when i take off the belit it stops, and there is alot of freepay when i turn the pully by hand, so here are my options, Auto zone sells a "rebuild kit" for $12, i dont know what it includes, but im good at making crap work, OR a complete new one for like 53 dollars, what would you do, and has anyone ever rebuilt one?

I would like to know also. I hear this whistling noise coming from what seems to be my power steering pump.

The Company I work for rebuilds PS pumps along with other stuff. Not to offend but it's a complicated procedure. Your better off buying a complete unit. Bring your old pump to the store as they will ask it back for core.

Rock Auto has them for cheap. Amazon also. I'd just change it.

Would be nice if they were in Sweden too . If you want one here you pay over 200 dollars for a pump. Or 15. dollars for a kit
