I was told that it's easier on the motor if you engage the clutch before shutting the car off, anyone heard this and think it might be true? Thanks for any inputs.

as opposed to just shutting it off with the clutch out and selector in neutral?

i would assume it wouldnt matter, but im too tired to logically think about the forces exerted at this moment.

The only thing I would think you would do that for is if the car has a problem that it wants to keep on running when it's shut off???, then you'd have to leave it in gear while you let the clutch out.
