Has anyone purchased this Hot Rod Air electric fan?

MustangUnlimited and SummitRacing sells it for about $250 and I was just curious if the controls were internal? I saw and exact copy of this fan for $165 but the adjustable thermostat is external.

I would ask them for more information before purchase...

i.e. more photos of everything that comes with it..not detailed enough for me to pay that for the vague pic that is shown.

Hot Rod air has just the one setup for 65-66. I use it and it works fine. However, you will have to fab your own brackets to mount the fan to the radiator support. The brackets you see in the photo DO NOT accomplish that. They used to supply the brackets, but, for some reason, no longer do so. I fab'd brackets and used bolts per the attached.

I have one. I really works great and I live in Phoenix. It has the brackets ,an adjustable thermostat and an extra relay. I just bought a Ron Davis rad with dual fans so my Hot Rod air fan is just collecting dust. I will make you a really good deal if you want it. e-mail me if intrested. .

Will that fan you got fit a 65 mustang? I think its a 16 inch rad.

65fastbackresto, Yes it will fit a 65. That is what I had it on. Perfect fit. Also have a 2 row griffin rad collecting dust too. Paired these two together. Had to go to a Ron Davis w/dual fans because here in Phoenix it would run appx 210 - 215 w/ the A/C on in the summer which is not really hot but a little to warm for me. Had a 195 thermostat.
