Someone took my badges off for me.
Be more careful than they were, don't scratch the paint.

I had the V6 Ponies on my Bullitt for a while.

Changed them to the "old school" GT badges from a 68 Torino GT hubcap.

I like being different.

(And just for the record, I first saw these on SNKCHRMR's Bullitt )

Gotta give credit where credit is due!!!

I had a friend try and use some other 4.6 badge or something and one of the holes was exposed, I think theres 2 holes under the GT badge, large and small one

I used a set from the explorer V8's

They required a little bit of modification though. There are more pics on my homepage

Here is what I have on my side now. I have gotten quite a few compliments on them.

I took the V6 ponies off and replaced them with these 4.6 High Performance badges on my Mach1. They cover the two holes perfectly and look a whole lot better, IMHO.

Yes. It was one of the first things I changed on my car.
Right after I removed the dealer badge and the rear GT badge.
Make sure you buy the right emblems.
Get the '99+ and not the '94-'98.
It's fairly easy to do and the ponies have the same alignment pins as the GT badge.
Don't use the floss or fishing line method.
Unless, it's a last resort, they will leave the backing on the car.
Let me know if you have any questions.

Jason

I've never liked the V6 ponies only because I figured it symbolized weakness I put a cobra to replace the pony on my Saleen but then I found out that that's a big no-no.. lol. Luckily Saleen came out with S281 badges shortly after.

In my mind it goes back to the original Mustang when you could get any motor in Mustang w/o it having to be a GT.
Only being able to get a V8 in a GT is a very recent thing Ford has started doing.
"GT", to me, is more trying to show off. It's just a label to me and not a representation of what motor I have. I'm just old school I guess.
Also, I grew up where the cheaper car, an LX 5.0 coupe, was actually faster than a GT. I loved it when people tried to convince me the GT had a better motor, suspension, etc than my LX.
I don't care that I drive a GT, just that my car goes fast when I want it to.
In fact I'll probably do the same thing if I'm able to get an '06 Cobra when they come out.
Also, my first love was/is my '65 Fastback so I knew I'd put the ponies on there before I even bought the car.

I have V6 badges. I noticed one day about 3 weeks after I bought the car that the driver's-side GT badge was falling off anyhow ("Quality is Job 1" my arse) so I figured it was a great time to swap them.

When I bought my GT 'Vert new in 2000, some kids had taken off the GT emblems, both on the fenders and on the back trunck lid. (In the dealer's lot prior to signing the papers)
When they replaced the GT emblem on the trunck lid, they did not level it correctly so it's off a few degrees. Some people ask if I ever has hit from the rear, and my answer is always, "No". But being not exactly level, it does look kinda cool.
I was told by trying to take it off now, and leveling it myself, would be a big mistake.
