I was wanting to know if anyone here has tried an edge converter and can tell me how much they picked up in the 60', 1/8th, and mph?

converter

I have 3.55's, pullys, cold air intake, predator hand tuner, and an edge 3200 converter. Without the converter my best et was 60' 2.08, 9.01 at 77 1/8 mile in hot Georgia weather. With the 3200 last night and a taller than stock et street the car went 60' 1.89, 8.81 at 78. I wasn't too happy with the converter. I am going to go back and try again next friday with a 275/40/17 nitto drag. I have 4.10s, mac longtube headers and a pro chamber at the house in the closet, but I am doing one mod at a time to see the time difference.

It'll get better with sticky tires. You can't really judge the converter if you're spinning. My 1/8 mile runs with the stock converter and Nitto 555Rs were in the 8.8 to 9.0 second range. My best ET then was 8.897 with a 2.05 60'. It was hooking good that day. With an Edge 3000 converter, my ETs were like 9.1 to 9.2. I was dissappointed too. I could not keep the tires from spinning. I got a pair of 26x10.50x15 MT ET Streets and went at it again. With the converter and the slicks, I was able to clock an 8.641 second run at 79.97 mph with 1.91 60'. Two other runs that day were in the low 8.7x seconds. That's 0.256 off my 1/8 mile ET and I don't have to worry about the launch. Just punch it from an idle and let the car do the rest.

I was using mt et street tires. My best et and 60' was 189 60', 8.81 at 78. I was leaving at 1500. I tried various rpm ranging from idle to 2500. Started having wheel spin at 2500. My friend has an 02 gt with same bolt on's except he has an x pipe and 3.73 gears. He bought a pi 3200 and picked up almost 6 tenths in he eighth. I know this is hard to believe but I seen it with my own eyes. His 60' picked up almost 3 tenths. I am thinking about taking this converter out, shipping it back and buying a pi converter.

Are you brake stalling it? I got better results stomping it from an idle. It will stall higher that way.

Yeah. Footbrake. Tried from idle to 2500.

I've had better results flash stalling it. Even when I had the stock converter. You just have to have the tires that hook.
