Hey guys, I recently bought JBA mufflers for my car and I'm not to happy with them. First off they really don't fit good and I can't seem to get them onto the tail pipes very good, then they are not as loud as I wanted. I guess they have a good tone to them though. I had a 01 GT with Flowmasters and a mac pro chamber, I want to get a sound like that. I liked the drone my old car had, so what do you guys suggest? I was thinking of trying the pypes mid muffler system?

Thanks for the help.

Pypes MMS + Prochamber is what you want, if you're looking for that 2V sound. That's as close as you're going to get.

Also, to line up the tailpipes, you need to loosen the clamp where the over axle pipe meets the H pipe. That will allow you to twist the over axle pipe, which will move the muffler. Then tighten everything up.

Cory... I also have JBA and I have a bassani x pipe and love the sound...however I also have problems with the way they fit, i cant get them to seal up on the tailpipes 100% and they stick out too far which bothers the **** out of me...is this what your experiencing? I am thinking about going with Flowmaster American thunder kit or a straight through design like Borla stingers or something.

Blackgt, thats exactly what I have problems with, they hang out really far and don't seal very good. They also are not lined up good, I'm going to try what Darkfire told me.

I thought about Flowmasters, and I listened to a bunch online and they sounded good, but they pop when you let off the gas and it sounded like a pop corn machine, my old 01 GT would pop, but it sounded good when it did.

I'm thinking of going with what Darkfire recomended, does anyone have any sound clips?

I'm not sure why, yet, but I have not been able to find a clip with the O/R Prochamber. I know it'll sound amazing, and plenty of people agree. Maybe it's because most people that try the Pypes MMS have already tried other systems and already have some sort of midpipe, and the Pypes MMS sounds so good that they stop there and don't try to improve it? I dunno.

The Pypes MMS system has many parts, so you may encounter a bit of trouble lining everything up. But if you're patient (and working with a helper will be advantageous), you should be able to get it lined up with little trouble.

To me the pypes MMS doesn't have the sn95 flowmaster sound at all. Your going to need a chambered muffler for that sound, but of course it's never going to sound as good. The MMS from pypes sounds like a straight through muffler.

I would say weld some 40 series flowmasters in with some nice tips. Let me see if I can dig up a clip of that on youtube. There's a saleen I believe with that setup, sounds like an sn95.

This is it. As close as I've heard. It still has that tinny sound but I guess that's what you get without the long tail pipes.
