Just for those who thought Aaron was for real...............Edelbrock's got their own tech forum on their website, and Aaron claimed to be their "Official Tech and Installation guy" He's nowhere to be found on their site.

Oh he's for real, it's just that his internet-fu is very weak. Posting a bye bye message then logging back on the next morning to see if he got the attention he wanted is just bad. I don't know about the Edelbrock claim. "Official" could mean anything, for example his videos he advertises in his sig have the "Edelbrock" logo in neon lights behind him and he mostly shows their products, so take that for what it's worth.

He's got a decent following in the industry with his engines (IMO sold under a stupid name that sounds like something drawn-up by a 50-year old marketing-type) but that kind of attitude is going to cost him. He's already shot himself in the foot; now an internet search for his name could include this thread, which he couldn't be bothered to post in the correct section to begin with, as well as the one he got his panties wadded up in for no reason.

I was actually curious on how long he'd keep providing us with answers until he got tired of answering the same questions over and over.

Maybe he's the "official edelbrock tech guy" on here

I don't care who you are . . . if you post something up, you should be able to prove it.

Don't let the door hit ya where the good lord split ya.

It's the interent, arguements are going to happen. I don't agree with self proclaimed "experts" either. One a wee bit more famous than you, that won the Engine Masters Challenge, swore boss blocks didn't have shorter skirts. It was a "myth." Then the pics came out with tape measures. Oops.

I just had a car leave that a big company here in SD while ago. First was the mini starter wired wrong, so it ran on after the key released. Then he told the customer that TCP's R&P couldn't be adjusted. The total timing was at 44.5. Long story short, 4.145 HG's where used on a 4.150 bore block. So after all this was fixed, the dyno came. This self proclaimed "demon expert" couldn't adjust pump cams, or squirters. He also left over (aprox) 90rwhp on the table. The first aborted pull it was at 14.9-1. After getting enough fuel to make the first pull it made 420rwhp. Judging by the HP per jet it increased, the car was making 380 when it came to us, but left making 472rwhp. Some expert. He was in magazines dynoing engines, write-ups, and he didn't apparently know squat. But he's recently closed now, too.

If there is a disagreement, make your point and leave or argue it. Respect is earned. Not by typing your resume in every post when some disagrees with you. That's just plain annoying.

I feal like the others...

Aaron, I appreciate the knowledge and insight you've shared, but on the internet everyone is equal. I do hope you stay and continue to share that knowledge.

Anyone who has 1/2 a brain will recognize someone with a bunch of knowledge, but even the most knowledgeable person is wrong sometimes. Don't expect anyone to believe you just because you said so. Trust and respect is earned, not printed on an internet resume.

Most people come to this forum to learn. While we're here we attempt to share knowledge and "give back" to the community.
With you, It seems like you're here mostly to stroke your ego and drum up business. A fair trade for the knowledge you share, but don't expect anyone to kiss ass because of it.
