LIKE IT SAYS...... I hope to meet a lot of people there and I will have my camera and son. So don't be afraid of the guy taking pics of your rides...... and maybe your girls LOL!!!! Have a good weekend
The racing was fun, but man, the turnout was bad. Nowhere near as many people as the two years prior...the vendors seemed to know it, too, nobody there but Ford, Stang Gear, AMP, & MM&FF.
I was disappointed that none of the big turbo cars were able to hook up. That yellow Cougar ran 6.71 at 211 and he pedaled it twice, imagine if he'd been hooked up.
I've missed it the last two times when it came to the valley either because i was sick or I had to work. Well I finally got around to going this year and wow crapola for one it was way overpriced to get in 32.00!! the website said 25! So i was like well no biggie it should be worth 32 bucks, so I was walking around and it wasnt that great I saw all the same cars i've seen at the scottsdale pavilions except for maybe 3 which were really nice "except for the white gay riced out mustang that was just garbage". The drag racing was pretty lame and nothing that great. Then I was talking some pics in the staging lane and this old guy was getting on my case because I didnt have a green braclet on so I couldnt be back there, so then i pointed to 4 other people that didnt braclets and the guy didnt know what to say other than leave now or else. So my 1st experience at ffw at firebird was a waste of money and a big let down and probably wont be going next year.
Yeah it wasn't anything like I expected. I was looking to see more vendors and swap meet people. Didn't see that many show cars. Races were alright at best. My first time and I probably won't be going back. Oh and I also didn't see on the website that parking was $7, so that took me by surprise as well.
They're working on making it better for next year.. more advertising etc..
I think the jump in gas prices affected the vendor turnout.. and the big $$$ PSCA race in vegas this weekend drew away alot of cars..
