His commentary it is great. "I'm big and scary" "Go away, Go away............. Please Go away"

Saw it yesterday when it was posted to Reddit. Apparently the guy crossed paths with this cougar and a cub, and she got territorial as hell about it.

Dude did everything right, didn't turn his back, backed away slowly, and made himself seem big and scary, which meant the cougar just pushed the issue until she no longer perceived him as a threat and ran off, no gun necessary.

No gun necessary? I would have used every round in my gun save for the last one, which I would have used on myself.
Kittas the size of a doberman scare me a little.

It was the fact that he wasn’t, and continuing the video, that was making me question whether this was real. I’m with you...... I may have ended up dead, but that cat woulda been hit a few times!

...and I don't think I would have shot the cat. At least not at first.

The first shot would test the cat's determination just by being a really loud noise.

I just ordered this for my 17 y/o daughter after a lot of finger wringing and youtube videos and thread searching etc...

She's 5'7" (and still growing). I really wanted a 30 lb draw string but they are SOLD OUT. I found a 35 lb on Amazon. Same company.

SWA 64" Spyder XL - Ready 2 Shoot Archery Kit | Ready 2 Shoot Packages | Southwest Archery

DESIGNED BY THE MAKERS OF THE SAMICK SAGE. 1 YEAR MANUFACTURE WARRANTY from SouthWest Archery USA. Bow Info: The hard edges of the riser (handle) and limb pockets have been rounded to provide a sleeker, lighter weight, and more comfortable experience; A layer of redwood (found in many high-end...

I'm estimating her draw length to be between 28.5 inches and my 30.5 inches so I hope the additional 5 lbs won't be too much issue.

This seemed like a good place to put this.

What you all think?

Too much bow?

I don’t know enough to comment on the bow. But I do know when I was learning to shoot one, after several pulls, and some not real accurate shots, the guy grabbed the bow I had, put a bigger and heavier pull in my hand, and I immediately became much more accurate! (that’s all I got)

That's why she charged with her front legs splayed out like that. NOW I get it - she just wanted a hug!!

That and he looked like he might have been younger, she was just doing what cougars do.....
