Hazy Gages?

I have a 69 I took apart the gage cluster to paint the black part and with the clear part (lens ) flat on something dark in color I can see that it is very Hazy but other than that its in great condition.

I'm thinking about putting a polishing wheel on it. Or 600 then 1500 and then the wheel? has any one donr it with good outcome?

Nicsand makes a plastic lense polish for plastic headlights that might work. Or just buy a new lense.

I have issues with the one in my '66 so I bought a new one....too cheap a part to kill a bunch of time on ya know?

I ended up replaing them in both cars - tried polishing but haze seemed very deep int plastic and not a lot of success.

I had to polish some lens on an old Fiat I restored because new lenses were not in product. But you can buy every part of a Mustang so I always just order new lenses.

I have a 69 and replaced the clear lense that I bought from California mustangs and the gauges look brand new afterwards. The fit was right on and I dont think new lenses cost very much either.

OK ok

I'll get new ones its just that things are slow at work and I'm trying to cut some cost for just the sprrdo and tack and clock in the 69 its just over $100 plus I'll still need to get the other two gages Fuel and temp. And to think I just wanted to paint the bezel!
