In another thread I stated how I just figured out that the heads I'm getting are TFS twisted wedge street heads, 2.02/1.60 valves. Comes with 1.7 TFS rockers and pushrods. A E-303 cam is comming with the heads also. My question is will the cam or another better cam work with these heads and stock pistons? I am worried about valve clearance issues with 2.02's. Also which intake TFS street or track intake, or any other for that matter? Basically I'm looking for a good combo to build around these heads. The car is a weekend street/strip cruiser.

All those parts should work decently well together, theoretically. Piston-to-valve clearance is on you to figure out. No one can say what combination will clear and what wont.

If it was my car, I would probably get a TFS stage 1 cam and a street heat. I'm no self-proclaimed expert though.

The TFS tech said to get the stage 2 cam and street or track intake and expect 400 hp with the correct additions. ie 24 lbs injectors, 190 fuel pump, afpr, 65 TB, & 75 MAM. Does this sound about right? I'm spending alot of money here to have a bad combo. I know that 400hp is high, I'm just stating what TFS said on the phone.

Does anybody know if the valves will hit the pistons?

I was told by artie at trick flow (many times) that the stage 2 cam will work with stock pistons.

I dont think you will be at 400 hp though.

I run the stage 1 cam and am pretty happy.

Yea I just edited that post. I know that is high, and I don't believe that. I was saying what TFS said.
