Head compatibility question..........

I am contemplating picking up a 351W (non roller) for having when I just need more than a 302 can give me. Will the heads I have (Holley SystemaxII) be compatible with a 351 non roller block? I would think they would be, but am not sure. I am thinking all I would have to change from the systemax kit would be the cam, correct?

ONE THING TO LOOK FOR IS WINSOR HEAD BOLTS ARE LARGER IN DIAMETER.

larger bolts, and you need a 351 lower intake, its wider than the 302, and distributor needs some modding unless you get a different one.

as mentioned 351W's use 1/2" head bolts. Most aftermarket heads are already drilled out for this but no big deal if yours are not. Just take them to a machine shop and have them enlarged
