So far here is what the deal is.
First i thought i had an ignition problem but as it goes it is looking a bit differant now.
My car after a head swap to afr's ran great for a few days then i blew out a header gasket, fixed that then i noticed after i took it out the car ran rough and then after i shut it off it would crank over real slow before it would start when it came up to operating temps.Thats when i thought i had an ignition problem(I replaced alot of sensors including the eec) but finnaly i got the car to turn over(after supercharger was disconnected)and the timing was turned way down and it would run ok but no power(Timing to low i bet)
Now,if i advance the timing it goes back to rough idle and slow cranking start. So after turning the timing down again i decided to add the supercharger to see what affect it would have.
When the supercharger was put back on and the car started ,thats when immediatly the car idled rough and light bluish smoke is comming out the tail pipe with no changes made to the timing before hand.
What i am thinking is that the ignition items are fine, but it seems to me that any time i advance the timing(with the supercharger removed)this allows more air fuel to be compressed and it is leaking out somewhere causing the missing with more advance. But if i set the timing low again with less compressed air/fuel it fires ok,but runs like a rock. Also when i add the supercharger on to the car with the timing set at where the car runs,i am adding more air into the chambers which again raises the amount of air compressed the car misses bad and blows the smoke out the tailpipes.
Would this be signs of a blown head gasket(even though the smoke out the pipes is not pure white and i dont see any mixture of coolent in the oil)?Or would a ring be bad on one of the pistons?I did do a commpression check on the engine and the numbers ranged from 153 to 143.
Strange i know, but before i tear this down again i would like to see if anyone has any input.
