I am using aluminum GT40-X heads with a stock cast iron block. What head gaskets should I use if I am spraying a dry shot approx 75 hp?

I just have a good set of felpro's myself. They cost about 100 bucks for them. I spray 150 shot and have never had a blown head gasket.

I run FPP 1011-1. 35 bux a side and never had any problems. Personally I would prefer a head gasket to blow before I melted or holed a piston. Call me crazy.

This is true but you need the gasket to be able to contain the added cylinder pressure from the nitrous.

Aluminum heads need the 1011-2. The 1011-1 is made for iron heads. I have used both sets with the corresponding heads and they work great under boost or with nitrous. I would also use ARP head studs. Extra insurance and you end up with a better, more consistant torque.

You learn something new everyday. This info will come in quite handy. I am gathering parts for a 347. Currently have my shortblock and some ported systemax heads. I am going to get all my gaskets soon so now I know.
