Engine head gaskets

86 5.0. replacing head gaskets, using felpro 260 1445 kit. both head gaskets are exact same so when positioning correctly on engine block one appears to be upside down. one has blue striping showing and one is upside down, is this correct?

The head gasket that comes in the 260-1445 is the Fel Pro 8548PT2 head gasket . they normally will said front or up on them.
