Hey I got a 92 mustang, just got one question were these lights always this crappy or are mine just too old? seems like I can't even adjust em that good, maybe it's me just looking at cars today I'm jelous. I can't seem to get a good bright field or are they just a bi#$@ to adjust, even went so far as to replace the one non adjustable pin with adjustable ones from the junk yard but still they blow. I get 2 spots and very little field, seems like the driver side one is sort of totally f$%^ but even the passenger side one seems such a bi#$^ to adjust any hints?

My method stand in front of car at night looking at street and checking that there sort of striaght forward making adjustments with a 4mm socket along the way (so to speak) what you guys do?

Well, first off, are the lenses all yellowed and cloudy?

If they're like that, you're never gonna get any good light dispersion unless you clean them up. They can be polished out, but it takes some effort.

Maybe this'll help ya

My lenses were so yellowed and fogged I drove around with my brights on and still couldn't see. I bought a new set of altezza-euro style tail lights and a set of headlights/turn/corner with opti-blue hi intensity bulbs to match.

So that's what the road looks like

I found them on e-Bay for 60ish and 150ish respectively, shipped. The funny part is that I sold my used ones there and actually made 15.00 extra and now have COOL lights!!! Of course I couldn't sell the headlights themselves, but the tails, corners and turns went fast!!! The new lights have three adjusters and it was a bit tough to get the triangulation correct but I used the old garage door and foggy night trick to get them there. The foggy night works the best and depending on where you live may be common or plain right non-existant. Just drive up to a garage door/wall/other on level ground and adjust them at about ten feet away. Mark the wall with some blue painters tape outlining the main beam, back up a bit more and see which way the lights move.

PS-Check your local laws regarding modifications to your exterior lights. The ones I bought are DOT and SAE approved and legal in Illinois for road use. Did I mention they also look cool

Hope this helps-Jeff

:OT: if your headlight covers are all yellowed try polishing them up with a rag and some toothpaste, doesnt take much but it makes a difference. works on more than fords too.
