Head Question

Depends on what heads you're looking at. If you're talking about the heads on your 429, then they're outside the valve cover rail, just above the exhaust ports. Small blocks are under the intake ports. FE's are outside between the center two exhaust ports.

OK. While I put on new valve covers I will look for it. Then I will have some more questions about it.

Have you ever seen a Chevy big block in a Camaro? There is so much room under there it is not even funny. I was at a friends house checking out his Yenko clone, and actually got jealous.

Those are good heads, While they both have different casting#'s they're basically the same head. Small combustion chambers, and screw in studs ( but the positive stop type) According to what I've read, if you have the CJ sized valves installed and port match them to the CJ intakes and exhaust, they actually flow better than the CJ heads did. One is a 69 head, the other a 70 head.
