Anyone get headaches after switching to a catless setup? Everytime i drive my car i get a headache and i think its b/c of my setup. My sister just told me her head started hurting while we was in my car.

I dont know what to do. I still have my mac catted, but the sound sucks, but i dont get any fumes inside the car. With the o/r h you get a smell while sitting still.

So, did anyone start getting headaches after going catless? Also, i have no leaks and everything is tight.

I didnt really get headaches, but when i had a bassani off road x on my 97 cobra, the smell did make me a little woozy at stoplights. I didnt dig the sound either. Whats wrong with the sound of your catted Mac. I love the sound of my MRT catted H better than any setup Ive ever had.

Its way to quiet inside and outside for me with the catted h for some reason.

Mines not extremely loud with the Magnaflow catback, but its smooth & deep. I think its loud enough 4 me, or maybe im just getting old. You have 40 series flows, so yours is probably even louder than mine inside the car due to it being chambered, because most of my sound comes from behind the car since Magnaflows are straight through.

If you put your mac catted H back on you can still have it loud if you weld in some Magnapacks, or SLP loudmouths & u wont have as much of the fumes since u have the cats back on. otherwise to keep it loud with the Flows. you will have to stay catless.

But whats considered loud is different to everyone. I have heard SLP loudmouths with the stock midpipe & they sound louder than mine with a Catted H or catted x

Yep, i have SLP LM1's and Macs in my basement right now. Both of those are loud with the catted H. I switched to flows from the slp lm1 setup and it got quiet as hell. If i keep getting headaches i might have to get rid of it. Plus you feel kind of high and when im at work i dont have the energy to do all my labor work lol which i do. I never felt like that b4.. its like getting Carbon monoxide poisoning from my own car.

Been running flows with an o/r H for a year now; never got a headache from it and I do alot of driving on the highway and I really dont get alot of drone from it at all. Music volume at moderate levels and I dont hear my exhaust. Never had a problem with fumes either, even with stop and go traffic for over an hour.

I think its leaking @ the ****ing muffler where it supposae 2 welded or clamp'd. I can see they didnt clamp it down at all and its not weld'd at the spot either. I can also see black marks at the "inlet" sticker where its suppose to be welded or clamped.

****ers man!

I just came back from the muffler shop.
its all fixed now. They cut off thoses mufflers anyway which was 2.25 and put on 2.5's which i told them to make sure they weld every single spot they cut.

You can see @ the inlet sticker its not weld'd or clamp'd. Now its just a waiting game of the flows to get coated with soot and get louder. This part sucks b/c it took like 5 weeks last time for it to the bring out the flow sound even more. I know flows dont break in, but after awhile the tone gets louder.

I was gonna say something must be leaking, I've been cattless for 3 years now and never got headaches or fumes.

I did at first, I'm good now though. Either I got used to it or something else changed.
