Header advice

I'm trying to figure out which headers to get for my car. Which are the easiest and best fit, shorties, equal length shorties or long tube? I have a feeling it's going to be the shorties, but I'm not exactly sure which will fit without any mods to the inner fenders or stock H pipe. I have an O/R H available to me for free, but I'm not sure how loud that will be with my 2 chamber flows and probably ceramic coated headers. I like it loud, but I also like to drive without getting pulled over constantly.

Any advice on size and brands?

I just put a set of BBK ceramic coated equal length shorties. Very happy w/ them. Not terribly hard to put on. Just some patience and some finesse as w/ alot of modding. Had to jack each side of the motor up for install. Had to shim the drivers side motor mount slightly to keep the steering shaft from rubbing the one header tube. Had to modify the aspirator tube slightly as well. Headers came complete w/ ALL needed hardware!!

I just installed BBK Equal Length Headers as well. No need to modify anything for me except the bend in the dipstick tube. I didn't even have to jack up the motor for clearance, however, the tranny was out of the car getting a rebuild at that time so I would say that made things alot easier.

Sounds good, runs good, fits good, price is good. BBK

BBK lontubes. yea, there a pain, yea they are more work, yea you need a new h pipe, but its alll worth it trust me on this I shi*t you not. get Lts, get it over with, and be happy about life lol.

All the reasons I DIDN'T go with them. Plus after looking at my buddies which is the same year, it looked like they had to come off to do a clutch.(although I could be wrong) F--K that!!! :D

Okay, so as far as the answer to my question, the shorties are the easiest to do the swap with? But the equal length shorties are more popular swaps, even though the long tubes are the way to go....

You guys are no help!

J/k I think I'm gonna go with the equal length shorties.
